The day is over. Now there is room for you.
If you live on Amager and combine a leadership job with young children, the evening is often the only time you can think about how you are doing. This page explains how a conversation with a psychologist from your own home can work once the house has gone quiet.
This site describes evening sessions online with the psychologist Frank for busy leaders on Amager. The sessions are offered by djursland-psykologen.dk, and the site is not a practice of its own. The main site is in Danish.
The time squeeze
Everyone else has had their time. Have you?
With a leadership job and children at home, the calendar is cut into pieces, and none of them is yours. Mornings are logistics, the day belongs to other people’s needs, and the afternoon is about arriving on time. A visit to a clinic after work means getting there and getting home again, which is often exactly the time you do not have.
So the idea is to move the conversation to where you already are. No bus or metro, no babysitter, no parking. You need a quiet seat and a screen.
Language and format
English, online, in the evening
In English
Sessions can be held in English, both online and in Mørke, the village on Djursland where the clinic is. For you on Amager, online is the main track.
A fixed evening
You get a fixed weekly evening slot and the same psychologist every time, so you do not have to start over or negotiate with yourself each week.
From the sofa
The session is a video call. You need a stable connection and somewhere nobody can hear you. A closed door and headphones usually do it.
What you can talk about
What follows you home
- The squeeze between work, children and everything that has to get done.
- The feeling of always being slightly behind, whatever you do.
- Work that comes home in your phone and in your head.
- How to build a rhythm that also has room for you.
You do not need a finished explanation, and you should not turn the session into another task to perform in. Some bring a concrete worry, others come to understand themselves better before it gets hard. Typical clients are leaders, founders and busy professionals with young children, including people with an international background.
The sessions are psychological conversations. They are neither parenting advice nor business coaching, but a place to think aloud.

Questions
Briefly answered
Can the sessions be in English?
Yes, both online and in Mørke. The main site, where you sign up, is in Danish.
Can I fit it in after the children are asleep?
The sessions take place in the evening at a fixed weekly time, online, so you can sit at home once the house has settled. There is no travel. The time is agreed when there is a place for you.
Who will be told that I attend?
No one. Your GP, the municipality, your partner and your workplace are not notified. The sessions are private, need no referral and are covered by the psychologist's duty of confidentiality.
Is there a waiting list?
Usually, yes. Capacity is limited, so nobody can promise a start date. Signing up carries no obligation.
The framework
Few places and a waiting list
Capacity is limited and there is typically a waiting list, because each client has a fixed time and the same psychologist throughout. Nobody can promise a start date. When you sign up you describe your everyday life briefly and what you are looking for. Signing up carries no obligation, and prices are published on the main site.
Need help quickly? There is a waiting list, so this site is not a route to urgent help. If you need help now, contact your GP or the out-of-hours medical service (lægevagten, 1813), and in an emergency call 112.
